"People hear about endangered species and they hear about biodiversity in the news, and somehow they are cognizant of it. But there isn't much out there that really connects people with what this is all about, which is plants and animals that are native to these islands...I think our pictures are one way people can make that emotional connection."

COMING THIS SUMMER, TAKE AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS ABOARD THE SEARCHER!!!

The MFSE is pleased to announce that we will be offering educational tours around the main Hawaiian islands during the summer of 2006.  Join us as we show you an unique and intimate view of the Hawaiian Islands from aboard the Searcher.  These multi-day trips shall highlight some of the more remote and beautiful spots of our island chain. Learn from the experts, as leading researchers, historians, and educators teach you about the islands and our marine ecosystems. Participate in on-going research projects and help to understand and preserve our natural environment.
