Ocean Conscious is a nonprofit founded by Searcher Hawai'i's owner and captain, Gillian Wysock. Ocean Conscious is dedicated to reconnecting people with the ocean through real-world, on-the-water experiences. From elementary school explorers to university researchers, the program offers opportunities to work alongside scientists, learn in an immersive environment, and grow a personal relationship with the sea.​​ 

 

Ocean Conscious uses the sea as a vessel to reconnect people to self, community, and nature through shared knowledge and lived experience. Whether you're local to Hawai‘i or joining from across the world, every person who steps aboard the R/V Searcher becomes part of a shared story.
