JEAN MICHEL COUSTEAU'S
OCEAN FUTURE SOCIETY
VOYAGE TO KURE

In 2003, the Searcher carried 21 divers, filmmakers, and scientists on a six-week voyage up the Hawaiian Island chain to remote Kure Atoll. The expedition was documented by Jean-Michel Cousteau and his team in a film that inspired President George W. Bush to establish what was then the world’s largest marine sanctuary.
